La Cabrera - Act II

Tonight was our last meal out in Buenos Aires.  We had to go back to La Cabrera.  It was just so good.  We have to get up early tomorrow for a gaucho tour that we have booked, so we went to Happy Hour again.  We showed up at the location that we went to last time and they told us that they were not doing Happy Hour tonight so we would have to go to their other location - less than half a block away!

It was a different experience for a number of reasons - mostly our waiter was not the best - but the food was still great.  We couldn't resist the 600 gram rib eye.  Fantastic!

I know that people have commented on the fact that I am only posting about eating and drinking :), but it's really just that good!  Everything is great here and cheap!

I put my hand in the photo for comparison.  Wow!

Anyway, we have to head off to bed.  Early morning for us - and our last day!

Demuru in Palermo

It was a very rainy day here in Buenos Aires.  Mary and I stayed in for the day.  It was also supposed to be 36 degrees so we figured that was the best plan.  There is a tendency to flood here in BA when it rains...

It was nice to have a day to read and avoid the heat.

Dinner is very late here, so we headed out just before 9 pm for Demuru Restaurant.  It's a high-end place with great steak and great wine.  They had to unlock the door for us because we were there too early - yes - 9 pm is too early here for dinner!

So, we were the only people in the restaurant.  But it was really nice.  We ordered the rib eye steaks and a bottle of malbec.

It was so good!  We ate every bit if our steaks - and they were HUGE!!

Love the food here!
